Hi Burton, Keith
Thank you for your response.
Our Application is based on the OSG, a cross platform scene graph,
which supports all the normal methods of displaying stereo. and on the
Mac, that is side by side, which requires us to open a display twice
the size of the actual image, for my example I quoted a single pipe set
up, but we also have a cluster, and therefore need to open a window the
size of six displays.....
There are good technical reasons why this is the way it works.
As I said, it all worked fine until a change to quartz-wm in 10.3.....
regards
Phil

Hi, we develop stereo visualisation applications, which worked fine
on
the Mac/X11/ using quartz widow manager until 10.3.x. Our
application,
in full screen mode opens a window that is the size of two displays,
say 2048x768, creating a left eye and right eye view.... with the new
feature in 10.3.x quartz will only open a window the size of a single
display, you can move it across both displays, but it can be made no
larger than say 1024x768... This has forced us to use twm which is
horrible.... does anyone know how a workaround to force quartz-wm to
increase or set the size of the windows it creates....
We have raised this many times with Apple but.....
many thanks
Phil
This doesn't provide an answer to your question as posed, but
suggests another approach, which may be easier to implement.
Consider putting each eye view in its own window. Alignment, I
believe, will be an easier problem to solve.
Regards,
Burt.
