Sorry about that.
The error message is:
Xlib: extension "XInputExtension" missing on display "localhost:10.0".
Failed to get list of devices
The XInput extension is not supported in Apple's X11 (or XFree86
4.4.0 on Mac OS X for that matter). Any client that insists on having
XInput available will not be able to run. There is basic XInput
support available in the top of the XFree86 tree, which should allow
clients like this to run.
I can't comment on why your KDE client suddenly started insisting on
XInput. You may be able to work around the lack of XInput support
with an appropriate build or run time option.

at this point the system will simply hang. With other KDE apps, for
example Kate and Konsole it seems as if
kbuildsycoca
is running; however, the only app that I can load is Konsole
The system on the Mac is Mac OS X ver 10.3.4

Hello.
I can no longer use Konqueror 3.2 as an X11 app from my Mac PowerBook
G4 (X11 1.0 XFree86 4.3.0). Konqueror 3.2 is running under SuSE LINUX
OS 9.1 with the 2.65 -95 Kernel on a box on our LAN. This setup was
working fine with the kernel version prior to -95. Has anyone else
hit this problem? Any work-around?
Well what happens? Do you get an error? If so what error? Using
OS X? If so what version of OS X?
