Can someone point me to a simple explanation of how to get my
x-windows session that run on my Sun box to display to my Mac?
I always receive:
emacs: Cannot connect to X server myhostname.local:0.0.
Check the DISPLAY environment variable or use `-d'.
Also use the `xhost' program to verify that it is set to permit
connections from your machine.
At any rate, if you from a terminal session on the mac do:
mac> ssh -X sunbox.your.domain
this gives you a session on the Sun _and_ it takes care of the DISPLAY
variable through the ssh tunnel. So you should be able to just say

Does ssh -X override the default #X11 Forwarding -NO- in the
/etc/ssh/sshd.conf ?
If not, then the OP prolly needs to set that to -YES- and uncomment the
line.
