I encounter this bug daily as well.
Another one that gets me is that if I have xemacs running, it seems to
mess with copy/paste to/from other X11 applications.

and has several exciting bugs. Why is this the most flaky component of
OSX, and why is it almost never updated?
For reference, I appear to be running X11 1.0 - XFree86 4.3.0
