Just my 2 cents. X11 has not crashed on me for a long time, and I use
it a lot, although mainly for the same thing each time. What
specifically crashes your application? Have you submitted bug reports
to Apple about it? Have they responded?

I'd like to re-pose the following question.
So. Is X11 actively being worked on? It crashes or locks up on me a
lot, and has several exciting bugs. Why is this the most flaky
component of OSX, and why is it almost never updated?
? Is the problem basically that X11 is regarded very much as an add-on
and is not really treated as part of the core OSX system?
As far as I can tell the last update to this software was back in
October
last year. Does anyone on this list have any idea why such a
fundamental
component of the user interface is left in such an unsatisfactory
state?
I'm getting very frustrated with the regularity with which I have to
restart all my X11 applications.
