Hello,
I can9t seem to get X applications from remote machines to display on
my
Mac. I am running X11 1.0 and 10.3.2 on a Powerbook Ti.
I am doing the following:
1. Open an xterm on my Mac, and issue the "xhost +mysun" command.
mysun is
the name of the remote machine (a Solaris 8 workstation).
2. rlogin into mysun, and set the DISPLAY variable to
"192.168.15.13:0",
which is the IP address of my Mac.
3. On mysun, I launch an xterm. The xterm seems to launch OK, because
I
don't get a "Can't open display" error. However, the xterm never
appears on
my Mac display.
In the X11 Preferences->Security pane, I have both "Authenticate
connections" and "Allow connections from network clients" checked. I
have
tried unchecking "Authenticate connections," but that didn't fix the
problem.
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
Have you tried setting the DISPLAY variable to "192.168.15.13:0.0"?
