Sorry for the cross post, but both lists seem appropriate...
I work on a large scientific computing and visualization package that we
ported from Linux/SGI to OS X. It runs under X11 on OS X. Upon
updating from 10.3.5 to 10.3.6 our code crashes when asking for a direct
rendering graphics context via the glXCreateContext() function call.
The code runs with an indirect context, but our visualization code that
makes use of fragment and pixel shaders no longer works properly in
indirect mode.
Has anybody else run into a similar problem? Did you find a work around
short of going back to 10.3.5?
