I have to disagree with this generalization. I am most definitely not a novice computer user. I've been using computers for 21 years. I have no problem with one mouse button. I never really used the fancy mice with 5,7, or 90 buttons though. I think this like anything else comes down to the user. I get along fine with cmd-, or ctrl-, or option-click and a one mouse button. Of course I prefer keyboard shortcuts when possible anyway. One button does not limit me. I would like for them to incorporate a scroll wheel though. But to just assume anyone who uses a one button mouse is a novice is just plain wrong.
