I have xmperf working on a suse 9.1 Linux instance with:
ssh -X email@hiddenss "xset fp+ tcp/font.server.address:7100;
xmperf"
but this command still fails on my iMac.
I wish I could get it to work with OS X.

When I run this command on an sterm on my iMac:
ssh -f [1]email@hidden "xmperf -display 128.163.13.216:0.0"
it soon fails with these messages. I had it up for a few minutes once,
but it always fails.
Does "sterm" mean xterm? If you use ssh you should not need to
explicitly set the display. Actually, make sure the X11 is
forwarded: try to use ssh -X ...
