There is no problem displaying remote X11 Java programs on a local OS X
machine. I do it all the time running the remote Java GUI on a Fedora
Linux box and forwarding the display to my OS X box running X11 using
ssh and X11 forwarding. This has nothing to do with X11 Java for OS X
as all the GUI display is handled by OS X's X11 implementation. I
assume since you can run native X11 programs like xclock fine that you
have everything set up correctly so I would look at the Java
implementation running on the remote machine. If the remote machine is
set to run a server headless version of Java then you won't get
anything displayed on your local machine but you should see errors on
the remote machine.

I'm not an X-pert, but I don't think it will work unless you get an X11
version of Java. Java and Native applications on Mac OS X do not use
the
the X11 display. However, X should be able to launch such applications.
Is there an X11 version of Java for Mac?

Hello,
Using a G5 bi-pro as a serveur,with:

I have no problem to open remote session
with ssh (with x11 forwarding) and "classical" programs like xterm,
emacs, xclock and so one
but when I start java aplications from a remote locations, they
absolutly
want to open on the server display.
Is there a way to bypass this problem?
