Try to run KDE in Apple's X11 in the full screen mode. Mouse clicks
when you have two desktops is problematic. If you are able to use the
mouse with full screen mode, you can modify the KDE Desktop via
Control Center so that mouse clicks access the KDE desktop and icons.
Until that is done, there is an invisible desktop layer that
prevents click through in Aqua.
How is your .xinitrc file configured to launch KDE?
