I don't know why this works.
Try `man fonts-conf'
I find the font rendering from the Xorg 6.8.1.99 (and 6.8.2) with Torrey T.
Lyons' patches quite a bit better on my LCD than is that of Apple's X11 v1.
And I can print from within GTK Mozilla and Gimp2 to USB and network
printers (even ones that do not support postscript).
Does anyone know what I can expect with X11 when Tiger arrives on my
doorstep next week? I am hoping the Xorg version I compiled will either
still work, or that it will compile agian to a version that will.
