I meant, I understand the mechanics of what I did, I don't understand
enough of the gritty details of the implementation of hinting and
sub-pixel sampling to know why it makes X11 Monaco look more like
Terminal.app Monaco in Panther. I would note that they looked very
similar under Jaguar without my tweak. It looks like it will all change
again under Tiger.
