I'd certainly be very interested in this too. I'm using VNMR remotely,
but have only been able to make it work decently using OroborX.
Looking forward for this one.....
Steffen
I'm trying to use Varian's VNMR remotely from OSX. As expected, the
program opens three X11 windows on the desktop. The one that gets the
focus contains a text box and several buttons (and it works OK...).
Unfortunately, when I click on the other ones they get the focus but
IT RETURNS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY to the first one. I've found no way to
make those window to keep the focus (as it occurs when accessing VNMR
from other OS). The only workaround I've found to put the focus on
these windows is to hide the first one. Unfortunately, his solution
is very inconvenient because normal operation requires to use all
windows simultaneously.
Which version of Mac OS X and the X11 server are you using?
Which window manager are you using? quartz-wm?
Have you tried using a different window manager?
Is there any difference if the X server is in full-screen mode?
Is there any difference if you set quartz-wm to its
focus-follows-mouse mode?
