googling, i'm finding the error "Warning: no access to tty
(Inappropriate ioctl for device)" so far, but no solutions yet ...
This is not an error message. XDarwin starts your login shell to give
you a decent environment, something Apple's X11 has yet to learn. Your
login shell complains that it doesn't see the daylight, but this is not
an error message. There is no error message at all, could it be that you
have a ~/.xinitrc script that quits at the end?
