I can launch the ImageMagick GUI by opening a terminal window and
typing in
"/sw/bin/display". Is there anything that I can enter into the
Command field
in for a menu item in Apple's X11 Applications menu that will have
the same
effect?
Assuming you use ImageMagick 6.2.8:
1 - Copy the file /sw/share/doc/ImageMagick-6.2.8/images/logo.jpg in
say home/Pictures or wherever is convenient to you; for example, in a
Terminal Window type:
cp /sw/share/doc/ImageMagick-6.2.8/images/logo.jpg ~/Pictures/
2 - In the Apple X11 menu, type:
display ~/Pictures/logo.png
Or:
source /sw/bin/init.sh; display ~/Pictures/logo.png
(if your fink environment is not sourced).
The key here is that ImageMagick wants an image at launch time, so
use any image you want, and then click on the window to get the menus.
