Installing X11

Hi,
I've got a mac server running Darwin 8.3.0 (according to sysctl)
which may or may not have X11 installed.
I'm trying to get ImageMagick set up, but when I
sudo /sw/bin/fink install ImageMagick
I get:
Information about 1747 packages read in 2 seconds.
Failed: Can't resolve dependency "x11" for package
"imagemagick-5.5.1-23" (no matching packages/versions found)
Now, I was told that X11 is set up on this system, but I guess it's
not, however, when I try to:
sudo /usr/sbin/installer -allow -pkg /Library/Receipts/X11SDK.pkg -
target /
I get:
installer: Package name is X11 SDK
installer: Upgrading volume mounted at /.
installer: The upgrade failed.
and when I try to:
sudo /usr/sbin/installer -allow -pkg /Users/jbarros/X11User.pkg -
target /
I get:
installer: Cannot install on volume / because its disabled.
installer: Newer Software already exists on your computer.
I should note at this point that
1.) Both of these packages are grabbed fresh off of Apples site and
should be most recient versions.
2.)
find / -name X11SDK.app
and
find / -name X11.app
both return nothing.
any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm kinda new to this whole
mac thing, so I apologize if this is a stupid question and/or if I'm
missing something obvious.
Thanks
-- James
