Fink doesn't install anything in the system /etc/csh.cshrc file. It may
put something in one of your personal shell startup scripts, but not in
/etc/. Apart from this remark, it is indeed a good idea to check all
possible startup scripts, in /etc/, in ~, and in /etc/X11/xinit/. The
most likely source of weird X11 startup behavior is still ~/.xinitrc,
followed by wrong libraries, either in /usr/local/lib or leftovers from
an older X11 installation, or strange environment variables.
