Don't know. That could be an OS X configuration problem, or you might
be able to fix it by installing additional GNU-Darwin font packages.
There are plenty of TeX and X11 related fonts and etc there. It is
expected to be auto-configuring. Perhaps you would like to try our
disc.

It was designed by Yves de Champlain for Panther, but it is also Tiger
tested.
