Hi Andrea,

What is the current state of the implementation of DPS in Apple X11

I want to use DPS with ImageMagick [1] to process PS files since they
state "If Ghostscript is unavailable, the Display Postscript X11
extension is used to rasterize a Postscript document (assuming you
define HasDPS and DPS is available)." [2].
I spent some hard time trying to figure out how things work, please
correct me if I'm wrong.
Um, I strongly suspect there's a MUCH easier way to solve your
original problem. Mac OS X has a whole bunch of built-in tools for
managing PostScript. For example, you can use the "pstopdf" command-
line tool to convert PostScript files directly into PDF. PDF, as the
native Mac OS X image time, can be viewed, printed, embedded, and
converted using Preview.app, or fed into Automator workflows:

Since this is off-topic for the X11 list, feel free to email me
directly with what exactly you are trying to do with your PostScript
files.
Best,
