Hi all,
I have Mac OS X (10.4.6). I would like to have a full screen terminal
without menu etc. Just as you would see when logging in as ">console" on
Mac OS X.
I have in my /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc:
xterm -fn 6x10 -geometry 212x85 &
exec quartz-wm --only-proxy
This starts an xterm somewhat in full screen on my PowerBook 15".
However, it is not completely full screen. There is a gray border at the
right side. Also, I am not very happy with -geometry: I rather would
like to have it set dynamically with respect to screen resolution and
font size.
Is there an easy way to tell X11 to open a full screen terminal, as it
would be when logging in with ">console"? (I am not using ">console",
because I want to switch easily to Aqua.)
It would be so nice if Mac OS X would have a full screen console built
in or if Terminal.app would have a full screen switch.
Thanks for any hint.
Claus
