The emacs that Apple distributes (/usr/bin/emacs) is GNU Emacs that is not
X-enabled. One can (and many folks do) build an X-enabled GNU Emacs. All of
that is just a long way of saying XEmacs != X-enabled Emacs (though XEmacs is
certainly X-enabled).
