This was the conflict. Emacs had "enough" X11 support for the people who wanted
to keep it that way.

No great loss - I don't use any of these. I can type a lot faster then the time
it takes to move to the mouse, move the mouse, go through a menu and then get
back to the keyboard.

These are the useful features. Too bad it took emacs so long to get them.
