But that's not what "full screen" means; other packages of this
general type refer to it as "single window mode". (It might be good
to change the wording there for consistency with e.g. Windows X11
packages and (in the other direction) Parallels and Fusion.
should change to include or exclude the menubar height. Catering for
the dock (mine is hidden automatically) might be problematic -
adding/subtracting stuff to that on the fly can change the dock
height.
Hm, I was going to suggest XRandR, but it doesn't seem to be a
supported extension. I'd think it would be the ideal way to handle
(a) switching from single-window to multi-window mode and (b) dealing
with the dock and menubar. Not to mention if someone goes into System
Preferences > Displays and changes the screen resolution (or adds a
monitor, etc.).
