I just want you to tell me a program that you're trying to use that
doesn't work and give me the steps I need to take to execute said
program and see it not working.

I'm wondering how it's supposed to work at all, given that all the
visuals are 24-bit TrueColor. An application requesting 8-bit
PseudoColor should fail to find a compatible visual.
I still don't get it, surely something like
XMatchVisualInfo(dpy, screen, 8, PseudoColor, &vinfo)
will fail based on the output of xdpyinfo, right? I don't see a way
in the prefs to turn on 256 color mode. Are you saying that you
added some libpixman stuff to the server that will match a
DirectColor visual in that case or something crazy like that? Or do
you want us to test Xephyr?
