Hi Harald,
I tried both 2.3.1 and 2.3.3-rc4, but they both have a disabled full-screen mode.
One more piece of information: I do not have a .Xauthority or .xinitrc in my home directory, so I'm not doing any weird magic so as to cause X11 not have full screen mode.

Go to http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/Releases and get X11 2.3.1. Or wait a few more days, and version 2.3.2 will be out. Or if you want the latest bits and can't wait, get the latest release candidate here:
