Rooms actually had two of these features, Baggage and Pockets.
Baggage was a place where you could put windows to move them between
spaces. Using the Dock for this works well with Apple's WS design --
just put them "in baggage" by minimizing them, then "unpack" them from
the Dock by opening them again, possibly in a different Space. Very
handy.
Pockets was different (and, to my way of thinking, misnamed); if you
put a window in your Pocket, it would travel with you from Room to
Room, and appear, open, in each of them. I think Spaces would have to
be extended in some way to support this. Though it *was* very heavily
used by Rooms users -- but mainly for things supported in the Apple UI
already by menubar widgets or Dashboard widgets.

Ahh, yes, "Pockets" = "Sticky Windows". I use this too in
my current window manager, but I could probably work around
the lack of it with other Apple UI features.
