I use mozplugger. It lets you use many "vanilla" applications as
plugins. This lets me use evince (the gnome pdf viewer) within
firefox-x11.
You can do this in macports as:
sudo port -v install firefox-x11
sudo port -v install mozplugger
sudo port -v install evince

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask the question, but
here it is.
I would like to be able to open PDF files inside the windows of the
X11 version of Firefox. I found one plugin for that and I installed
it. However, when I click on a link to a PDF file I am asked to
chose an application to open it or to save it on the hard drive. For
some reason the plugin does not load.
Anyone knows if there is a solution?
This is under the latest version of X11.
Thanks,
Pierre
