Appending to this wish list, (1) would the effort be affordable to
extract the shadow-drawing part of quartz-wm into a separate
shadow-compositing engine, much like the Xorg-xcompmgr, so it could
be run in background to draw window surrounding soft shadows
irrespective if a window manager is in use at all?
(2) Is the shadow extent generally in MacOSX configurable?
(It looks extremely wide and too dark.) :-)
