You should recompile all your fink/MacPorts when you upgrade the OS
anyways...
While this may make some sense, do you have any idea how much time
this might take for those of us who use Fink a lot? I suspect it
will take each of my machines over 24 hours of compiling to complete
the process of re-installing all the packages. For example, on this
machine I have 108 packages installed, many of which are time
consuming to rebuild. Never heard of this before and am not happy at
the prospects of what this means.
I'm sorry, but I don't really consider 24 hours of compilation to be
an annoyance considering that it used to take me weeks to compile a
system...
I recompile everything whenever I update the toolchain.
