I am having witnessing strange behavior
in full-screen mode with a remote session/window manager controlling the
display of X11 applications. Other than keymap issues which I have
discussed in another thread and getting the name of the copied X11 app
to change in the menu bar, things work pretty well except for the following:
- If I just monitor activity of
X11 application windows for a long enough period for the remote session/window
manager's inactivity password lockout to occur, I can't get input focus
into the password field of the dialog box to get logged back in and clear
the inactivity screen so I can continue to work in my X client applicatons.
Movement of the mouse or key presses do result in the password dialog
box being displayed, however, I cannot enter a password.
- I have also noted that while
in this state, my mouse pointer is not visible. It doesn't become
visible again until I blindly move the mouse pointer to the top of the
screen and get the X11 menu bar to appear and click so that a drop down
menu appears. The mouse pointer then becomes visible again and I
can select from the X11 menu bar and attempt to select the password field
of the user lockout dialog box, however, I can't get it to accept input.
Best Regards,
