Quoted Mark Goldman <email@hidden>:
I am running a legacy 8 bit color client, on mac OS 10.5.6 and XQuartz
2.3.2.1. This legacy client offers a "screen swap" feature that allows
one to rapidly go through several screens that are in the same
graphical memory unit. This feature worked fine for mac OS 10.2 and
Xfree 4.3. However, it does not seem to work now. Could it be a
backing store problem? I have tried several window managers
(quartz-wm, twm, olwm) in both fullscreen and rootless mode, and
nothing seems to help.
I suppose it could be due to lack of backing store, especially with
older applications using 8-bit color modes.
What is the application? How does it behave when you try to use the
screen swap feature? By screen are you talking about the :0.0 an :0.1
type of X display screen, or a window/screen?
