That's really not an X11 issue at all. X11 has nothing to do with
printing (other than the fiasco that was Xprint). Your app probably
uses cups (or maybe the lpr interface to cups) to print. In any case,
there's nothing "X11" about printing. You'll have to ask the
developers of your program.
If all it's doing is feeding the text to lpr, then it's not really an
"OSX" or cups issue either. It's literally sending the characters to
the printer as text rather than postscript, and it's up to the printer
to figure out how to print it. Most printers print out text like this
in roughly 12 point font. You can try using something like enscript
to make postscript out of your text file... but that's probably beyond
what you're looking for and more difficult than copy/pasting to
TextEdit...
In any case, this is an issue that is really for the developers of NX
to tackle.

Maybe i am wrong. But in this case there is no print dialog were i
can change anything.
It prints directly to the default printer.

Jeremy, this has absolutely no effect to the printing on a paper in
my case.
Does any X11 setting influence printing font sizes? If so, I have
never heard of it. I think you need to ask whoever is responsible for
the application you are using, not the X11 mailing list. The server
dpi setting will influence the on-screen appearance of many
applications, though.
