Have people found that this actually works? (ie does not introduce

I have heard reports (rumours?) that some software manufacturers,
including a major supplier of graphics software, are less than
rigourous about naming files with regard to case sensitivity.
It certainly works well enough for me. But I'm more likely to
download a tarball that contains files that will step on each other if
case is ignored than to get some Mac OS X software that expects "test"
and "TEST" to be the same. The only problem I can recall offhand is a
piece of Garmin software that expected case insensitivity. I had to
delve into the .app package to fix the file name ("Info.plist" instead
of "info.plist", as I recall), and then I notified Garmin. They fixed
it in the next release.

sorry to drive this even more OT.

You'll need to reformat your drive as case-sensitive from Disk
Utility.app when running the OS installation.

You've piqued my interest... is there a URL you can point me to as
to how to make my Mac case sensitive? Ta, M
