I'm trying to debug some peculiar behaviour.
I'm running XQuartz in 2.7.5 in rootless mode, and using twm or
icewm to manage windows (i.e. not quartz-wm).
If I open a few X11 windows, then raise some other MacOSX app windows
(iTerm, firefox) to partially obscure them, and then click the title
bar of an X11 window I get different behaviours.
Under twm, the window is raised, both within X11's window hierachy
and also over the other MacOSX windows.
Under icewm, the window is raised, but only within X11's window
hierachy and _not_ over the other MacOSX windows.
I would like to know what twm may be doing which is different to
icewm with respect to raising the window over other MacOSX windows.
The objective is to get icewm raising the X11 window over the MacOSX apps but
untl I know what X11 action causes xquartz to do this I'm at a loss.
Where should I look for this?
