Hi - When I try to install X11 from the 10.5 disks, for a G5 running 10.5.8, it seems to install properly. But when I open the application, it creates an xterm window that I can't type into (nor does it create application menus, and force exit doesn't even see the application).
So instead, I tried to install xQuartz. The xQuartz installer seems to run ok, and claims it has installed the application, but I can't find it installed anywhere on the disk, either in Applications, or Utilies.
2.6.3 was the last Leopard release: http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/X112.6.3
It should install to /Applications/Utilities/X11.app
You should logout and log back in after the install.

It turns out that the installer create X11.app in /usr/X11 instead, so
I had to move it out of there. - Mark
