I think this is a classic example of where more isn't better.
I disagree (but then, if I didn't, I wouldn't have posted, would I?)
I disagree too. at least I want the oportunity to choose. didn't "we
like to have options", huh? ;)
When editing XML, HTML, etc. I like to see the difference between
content and tags.
Beyond that, attempts to turn my code in a psychedelic light show
is just distracting.

ditto. let the user choose. I've given up trying to edit XML/HTML in
Xcode, the code is a mass of text and tags with only two colors, very
tiring for my taste. and how come that a tag is considered a string?.
I much prefer how SEE works, at least I can differentiate the
properties of the tags and its values.
