compilation terminated.
Something fundamental is broken on your system. The compiler is trying
to invoke the assembler ('as'), and failing to find it. Either
/usr/bin is not in your PATH, or /usr/bin/as is missing. In the former
case, you need to go modify your enviroment, which I never remember
how to do the "right" way, but searching the list archives should tell
you. If you are indeed missing /usr/bin/as, then you should probably
uninstall and reinstall your developer tools.

The only "as" I find is:
/Library/WebServer/Documents/WebObjects/Java/org/apache/xerces/dom3/as
Does this mean that usr/bin/as is missing so? I have to reinstall
developer tools?
