Can this be done?
If you type option + return into the search entry field you can then enter the second line of text. You can use the up/down arrow keys to switch from one line to the next. This technique also work with tabs by typing option + tab.
You could also use TextWrangler which is available for free from the authors of BBEdit. With it you can use the sequence \r & \t (maybe others) in your search text.
