Greetings,
I'm experiencing an issue with Xcode 3.1.2 (under 10.5.6) remarkably
similar to one discussed on this list back in March 09 ("Xcode no
longer shows the GCC 4 section in the build settings"). Similar, but
slightly different.
The basic symptoms are the same: GCC 4 sections disappear and the User-
Defined section contains a few bareword GCCish symbols
(GCC_MODEL_TUNING, GCC_DYNAMIC_NO_PIC, etc).
The difference is that, apparently, it only occurs for Framework
targets; when I add a new Framework target to a project or create a
brand new project just for the Framework. Application targets and the
main project settings behave as expected.
Additionally, it doesn't seem to matter what I set the Active SDK to
or what the project or target's Base SDK is configured as; *nothing*
seems to make the GCC 4 sections appear for Framework targets. I've
got three SDKs installed: macosx10.3.9, macosx10.4 and macosx10.5 (no
iPhone SDK here). I've tried just about every combination of these
for Active SDK, project and target with no noticeable change in GCC 4
build setting visibility.
Has anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jesse
