This is certainly not the case. Interface Builder is not related to
the debugging experience in Xcode, and furthermore, it should not
interfere with an executable you are running.
That's what I would have thought too.
I am unable to get the app to run as expected if IB is still
active...by which I mean that the slider in IB seems to "hang" as
soon as the debugger is launched. The example places NSLog calls in
the KVC compliant methods, and these are never called. As soon as
IB quits, the program responds as expected.
Is IB hanging? Or is your executable?
Like most embarrassing moments in coding, I can no longer reproduce
the behavior!! :-) The fact that other readers of Hillegass seemed to
be having the same issue, led to the question. But, you have answered
the most important issue for me, so that if ( or should I say *when*)
it happens again, I can rule that issue out ( ie IB being active) as a
cause of the problem.
