I'm using Xcode 3 as I'm only able to run on Snow Leopard.
Is there any way to rearrange the window panes in the main window, and /
or dock certain floating windows?
Since I have a tree of files down the left I don't need the list of
files in the top pane - I would like to replace that space with the
Build Errors window [docked] at coding time and the Expressions window
[docked] at debug time.
Although I can position those two floating windows roughly where I want
them, they are still separate windows subject to Z ordering. The Build
Errors one isn't so bad since it contains its own code editor, but when
debugging, as soon as I step through code from the main window it pops
the Expressions window behind (because I have to click in the code
window to see what I'm stepping over - even if I step directly from the
expressions window, it still brings the main window to the front). I'm
constantly having to juggle windows to see what's going on... and that
has to be done via the mouse (or F10) as there doesn't seem to be any
kind of key combination to cycle windows within the same app - at least
none that I can find for Xcode.
Thanks in advance.
