Mac as Bluetooth Headset

Hi, I had this idea a while ago, and now I saw that someone else is having the same idea, and I think many people had it (before me, when I got it, and will in the future). I think it is possible, and would be great, to make a BT enabled Mac to act as a BT headset/handsfree device for a BT enabled cellphone (or even act as a "bridge" between the BT headset [paired with the Mac] and the cellphone [paired with the Mac too]). Now that we got the 1.5 BT update, I think it would be easy, for Apple developers (the ones in this list, I suppose) to make this, yeah let's call it as such, .. dream real. The Jabra BT200 works well with the new system software. Specifically, you can set the audio input and output for iChat to the Jabra and it works fine. Sony-Ericsson HBH-15 works. Waiting for someone to tell me if Sony-Ericsson HBM-30 stereo bluetooth headset works. Its a bit pricy for me to take risk and buy it with out confirmation. Need to know iTunes sound quality, speech recognition quality and if you can bluetooth file transfer over mp3's to the HBM-30's built in memory stick. Request to Apple to look at these new stereo headset developments and insure compatibility. If I have my T610 and HBH-15 connected to my PowerBook and open up Apple Address Book, activate bluetooth connection , and have my incoming calls displayed on my screen, then when I press answer call, why can't I use my bluetooth headset? The headset can only be connected to either the phone or the PowerBook Sound source, not both. Therefore there is some piece of code missing somewhere that will forward the answer call result back to the phone and then have the phone forward the voice call over to the PowerBook Sound. I want to have both computer sound and handsfree functionality with one headset, I am hardly likely to sit around wearing two headsets am I? Is this something for Apple to fix or Sony-Ericsson? Do modern bluetooth headsets support more then one active pairing? Hello Everybody... some voodoo in the morning time.. Remeber my Bluetooth was dead... this seams to be a Bug in the new Powerbook! I have a new PB 17"/1.33/1 GB that went was in suspensmode when batteries where to low .. and it turned of and Bluetooth was gone! I did everything reinstalled my System and reseted PRAM! But my Bluetooth wouldn't come back! It seamd broken. The I found a postiing on german forum. A guy had the same problem and posted it. But nobody responded. this was about 3 mointh ago. As his posting had no reply. So I wrote him.. because I thought his problem (bluetooth dead/broken) was solved by now. He replied (quick translation): "After doing everything reinstallation and new user and PRAM reset.. I took out the battery and left my computer without over night... next morning it worked again!" This sounded like voodoo to me but I tried it. And it WORKS AGAIN?!!!!! I woke up this morning and my Bluetooth was Dead!

I have a weird Bluetooth experience! My setup is a PB 17"/1.33Ghz/1GB Ram/i-Sight and Wireless Mouse. Everything fine until today! I had my PB sitting on the Desk in Suspend-Mode I woke up in the morning.. and Ups.. the Battery was to low to get my PB through the Night! I went of... I hoped that I save my work from the night before.. and I opened the Powerbook and it immediately started up! I waited... and the grabbed my mouse and wanted to go on working! But the Mouse didn't react. I was wondering and used the Track-pad... (it okay to read mail but not for working). I went straight to the System-Panel and.. Ups! No Bluetooth Panel anymore?! Now I was shocked... I went to utilities/Bluetooth assistant and launched it! The "No Bluetooth Hardware installed"-Dialog had me stopped right-away! I thought. "What"... this is part of my PB.. "What the hell"... Next Step.. System-Profiler! Now it starts to get weird: The Hardware was there!? Below USB. Since the: I downloaded the update to 1.5 and .. nothing Tried to install the new Firmware... nothing (quitted on me "no Hardware") I installed all the Bluetooth Packages with Pacifist form 10.3.2... nothing I reinstalled 10.3 ! (Archive User-Option to keep my profile) ...nothing updated to 10.3.2 ... nothing. I tryed a PC-Dongle from a Friend! ... works but crashes. I updated Bluetooth again to 1.5 PC-Dongle works fine. BUT MY INTERNAL BLUETOOTH IS DEAD? Hardware defect?! What is it... any ideas? Is there any test program? and why can system-profiler still see the hardware but the system not use it?
