UUID

After installing iOS 6.1.1 beta, I noticed that my app no longer recognised the UUID's of 2 bluetooth peripherals I have. I think I read someone say that iOS creates the UUID for each peripheral based on it's MAC address and other things. Could iOS give a peripheral a different UUID after updating iOS? Thanks for the response. I had reviewed that thread as well. The only reference to not being able to send is user experience and some notes on the Toyota web site concerning their car kit. I'm hoping to find some official word from Apple regarding any limitations. As noted, the Bluetooth MAP specification is available here: https://www.bluetooth.org/DocMan/handlers/DownloadDoc.ashx?doc_id=215400 Page 37 of the specification lists mandatory versus optional features. For an MSE device (such as the iPhone), the message uploading feature is mandatory. Marco, In Xcode, add a reference to the CoreBluetooth framework. Then, in your left sidebar, expand the framework and you should find a folder "Headers". From there, click CBPeripheralManager and you get the documentation. The Xcode documentation feature is behind for CoreBluetooth, as is the web. To quickly navigate to the correct documentation from your code, command-click on methods / classes from CoreBluetooth. This reveals the correct section in the header file.
