Apps are terminated after a while in background and that you should use the new iOS 7 features for such use cases. Therefore, it will only work for a certain time in background mode. Hi, iOS6 BLE sample project which notifies incoming phone call to a BLE peripheral, which uses the Core Telephony framework. There's a distinction between BLE as a technology and CoreBluetooth as a framework. BLE can be used for a great many things that app developers cannot access directly from CoreBluetooth.
