Hi to all, After I installed Mavericks, I saw the problem. DCRAW did not come from the App store. In the earlier version the error message just went to the console. In the new version there was a pop up and then I realized that I could launch the app with a right click and it would work. There is a location in the settings that will allow all apps to launch. It¹s unchecked by default. Make sure it¹s checked or the apps that are working in the background will slow way down or crash under heavy load. Example: Photoshop with Alien Skin Exposure running in batch will crash if "Prevent App Nap" is unchecked. John

There are some oddities like trying to double click on an installer that isn't 'sanctioned' by Apple (Control Click Open works). DNG and Photoshop's PSB Finder icon's don't work properly with preview icons. But in terms of color and printing, knock wood, so far so good. I keep getting a permissions error when I run DCRAW on Mac OSX 10.8.5. I checked the permissions on the app and all seems OK. Any ideas? Thanks, Tom Lianza

My clients and I have skipped 10.7 and 10.8, but I'm hoping/assuming that it also still works in 10.7, 10.8, and 10.9. I have quite a few 10.9 migrations planned in 2014. The basic method is to set the preferred profile in admin or other test user account. Then under root copy the whole ByHost folder from the user's Library-->Preferences to the corresponding place in the default User Template. Hi all, For years I have been using the ColorSyncScripting addition in conjunction with an AppleScript to automatically set custom monitor profiles to our lab computers. Since upgrading to OSX10.9, we cannot use the ColorSyncScripting addition, so I am looking for alternatives, and wondering what others are doing in this sort of scenario? Epson ColorBase Utility

Anyone have any experience using the Epson ColorBase utility? The fun part of this mission is that we will be attempting to improve an Epson 9880 color range for dye sublimation. Currently the image on the sublimation paper is too dark and the RGB driver selections are limited. We are using a Studioprint Rip but there are no calibration offerings in the Rip a we are using an RGB driver. My hope is that the utility will enable us to get a full range of gamut and tone. Hi Mark ColorNavigator should fine on Mavericks with the latest update. Just go to EIZO.com and download it from the support section. We had one customer with similar issues and the update solved it.
