EIZO Color Navigator 6 + Mavericks

Colorsyncers, I'm not sure of this is outside the domain of this forum but it seems to have the highest proportion of 'experts' so I will try my luck anyway. I've been using an EIZO CG241W for several years without a problem. Lately, it has been scaring me by going into a 'posterised' mode where all the colours look like I'm in 2 bit mode! I thought the video card/processor in the display had given up the ghost however, the effect was/is disabled immediately as soon as I quit Color Navigator. This only seems to have started since I upgraded to Mavericks. I am also getting an occasional message from Color Navigator saying it has reset the gamma. Has anybody else experienced this? Is my monitor telling me something or is it a conflict with the OS? Thanks. Mark

DNG profile for a Nokia Lumia 1020 on Windows

Please excuse my ignorance, but, I got these three new "DNG" profiles in the mail today : - Nokia Lumia 1020 Daylight Halogen.dcp - Nokia Lumia 1020 fluorescent.dcp - Nokia Lumia 1020 Xenon Flash.dcp I never used DNG profiles with Adobe CameraRAW. The Nokia Lumia 1020 now supports RAW. Where would I find basic setup information to experiment with these? I'm on Win "Blue" 8.1. I guess I was going to start with Adobe.com but I thought I might squeeze a quick one here ;-) Thank's in advance, and please, again, excuse my ignorance / Roger

For a good start for this new year, I would like to know if any of you already tested the new light sensor sofv-1xiQ System from GTI? Starproof Rip

Roger, I am very familiar with the Starproof rip, and I have gotten excellent results with it. Starproof is unbeatable if you require a true dot proof. Starprof does not simulate a printing dot but uses the actual 1bit tiff files from your own rip, so what you see on the proof is not just "a" dot, but "the" dot…the actual dot that makes up your printing plates. It predicts morie behavior accurately. Because all color management takes place with the actual printing dots, there are no extraneous dots. Highly recommended. (Full disclosure, I am a Starproof dealer. I have access to other high quality proofing rips as well that produce accurate color, but not other rip that I know of provides actual rip-created dots with high color accuracy).
