With the distribution format, you can't have a different format for different languages since the name of the file is to be the same. You can do this with the Info.plist format. With the distribution format, assuming you're using files, you need to write something like this: You can't set the extension because they are different depending on the localizations. While this would work if you had a .txt and .rtf file, it will not here because when you remove the .rtfd extension to a .rtfd document, Installer.app is not able to recognize the bundle file to be a rtfd document. If you were using the Info.plist file, you would just add the 2 files to the appropriate .lproj folder, keep the extension and everything would work fine. I'm also wary of running any application on startup, and I'm moving my own app away from this behavior. The cleanest way to do it is with launchctl/launchd though. This behavior is commented out from my postflight, but you can check out: http://svn.littleshoot.org/svn/littleshoot/trunk/install/osx/LittleShoot/ex… There's also super handy error reporting in there using curl -- basically catches any errors in the script and reports them to my servers.
