Upgrade-option of BundleOverwriteAction not working?

The latter two cases are explained in the man-page. I tried them with a single flat-package but they do the same no matter which case I try. Files appearing in both packages are replaced while other files which were only in the first package but not the second aren't deleted on the disc. This was even the case when using the upgrade value in the component.plist. Here's what I did to try that. I made two flat-packages. One with a lot of different files and folders (version 1.3.0) and another one with just the .app-file (version 1.3.1). I installed version 1.3.0, then 1.3.1. What I wanted to achieve was having everything deleted but the updated .app-file after installing version 1.3.1. Still all other data was still there as mentioned.

Pros: - you don't have to ruin your life with the minor issues that can be encountered with dmgs. Cons: - it's not very common (yet) for end-users to download a pkg/mpkg directly. They are mostly used to downloading a dmg or zip archive. - the name of the file may not be as human friendly as what you can get with the name of a mounted dmg. - you need to make sure that you have included the readme, EULA in the distribution. - Apple still provides its flat package/distribution inside a dmg. e.g. FlashbackMalwareRemover tool. installer does not care about versions anymore

Hi, I have a component package that is built using a component property list. That component property list has the BundleIsVersionChecked set to YES and the BundleOverwriteAction set to upgrade for all items in it. I use that component in a product archive. When i install the product, it will overwrite any newer version ( newer - meaning the component or the bundles in the components versions are newer ) i already have on disk. Automatic Relocation flag issue

Hi, I have another problem regarding relocation flag in Flat package. I want to disable the automatic relocation feature. To this I replace the relocation flag value from true to false in PackageInfo plist of all packages in metapackage using `sed`. But this thing didn't help me. Later on I noticed that some of the PackageInfo plists are different from other as they have some extra info about Bundles but don't have any relocation property.
