I don't know how to do what you ask, but instead of a container field, maybe
you could you use a text field and a barcode font since Filemaker supplies
the code number. I have a DB that does this with code39 true type font. The
DB also supplies the code number to a Quark application that uses a
postscript font for the Barcode.
